First blog post! I feel the need to start with something profound but am sorely lacking in content of any depth.
Essentially I'm starting this blog as an outlet for all those DIY projects/ideas etc that I've been tracking for my own purposes without really putting them to much use. Things like card ideas, scrapbook layouts, home/party decor, wardrobe ideas and Pinteresty projects. Basically all the fluffy sorts of blog fodder I adore. If you're looking for deep/meaningful content, this likely will not be the place.
Every "blog tips" article I've read has said "you need to pick ONE theme and run with it." Food, crafts, clothes, photos...just pick one. I'm not so sure that's going to work for me. I've always classified myself as a world class dabbler. I like variety. So this may not be a go-to-blog for one subject, but hopefully it's fun in its multi-colored-sprinkles kind of way.
In case you're not familiar with the title of this blog, I encourage you to check out a little piece of greatness. I grew up watching the Rogers and Hammerstein version of Cinderella starring Lesley Ann Warren and still break out the old VHS from time to time. On top of being somewhat of a Cinderella aficionado, I appreciate the message of this song: In my own little corner, in my own little chair, I can be whatever I want to be.
